Canuck Cold Plunge & Chiller Reviews
Titanium or 316 S/S
Chiller Heat Exchangers
Long Lasting
Titanium is the best choice for maximum corrosion resistance and long-term durability, especially in cold plunge systems exposed to chlorine, bromine, or other harsh chemicals.
Rapid Cooling
316 stainless steel offers faster cooling than Titanium, but is less corrosion resistant, which means a shorter lifespan.
FAQ
Q: Can a Canuck Cold plunge chiller run 24/7?
A: Yes. Canuck cold plunge chillers can run 24/7, automatically filtering, ozone-sanitizing, and maintaining optimal temperature. However, we recommend powering off for 6 hours, every couple of weeks.
Q: Can I use chemicals with a Canuck Cold plunge chiller?
A: Yes. Canuck Cold water chillers are safe to use with most chemicals (chlorine/bromine) at normal levels. If using chlorine or bromine, we recommend doing so in combination with the chiller's ozone feature and choosing the titanium heat exchange option.
Q: Can Canuck Cold plunge chillers be legally used in a commercial setting?
A: Yes. Canuck Cold water chillers use cETLus & CE recognized components to align with Canadian, American, and European standards, so they may be legally installed for commercial use. Depending on your jurisdiction and use case, additional requirements may need to be met.
Q: Are Canuck Cold water chillers safe?
A: Yes. Unlike many cheap water chillers on the market, Canuck Cold water chillers are cETLus & CE Recognized Components - meeting respective CA, USA, and EU component standards.
Q: Do I need an electrician or plumber to install a Canuck Cold plunge chiller?
A: Most likely. Similar to hot tubs, installation must comply with applicable regional code/requirements. Depending on your setup, use case, and location, this may require a licensed electrician, plumber, field evaluation, permit, inspection, or other approval — even if the chiller is certified/listed by a recognized body. For example, cold plunge systems generally require proper on-site grounding and compliant installation.
Q: Can I use my own cold plunge tub with a Canuck cold plunge chiller?
A: Yes. Canuck cold plunge chillers work with almost any cold plunge tub! Our standard hose is 3/4", but can easily be used with an adapter to fit any size fittings. Just make sure the chiller you choose supports your tub's water volume (see each chiller's specifications).
